Old Pepper Single Barrel Rye Whiskey is THE Rye Whiskey that won "Best Rye" at the World of Wine & Spirits event in 2018. It is a true single barrel bottled at a cask strength averaging 55% ABV (each cask is a tad different). The mash bill is about as high-rye as you can get with 95% rye and 5% malted barley. This MGP Spirit has been aged two to three years and is finished and bottled at the James E. Pepper Distillery — "Old No. 5" — in Lexington, Kentucky. The next edition of Old Pepper Rye will be vatted, so this may be your only chance to get your hands on a single barrel version for quite some time to come.
