Minor Case Straight Kentucky Rye Whisky 750ml

Minor Case Straight Kentucky Rye Whisky 750ml

Minor Case Straight Kentucky RYE Whisky 750mL

Minor Case Straight Rye Whiskey is a small‑batch expression produced by Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky. It pays tribute to distiller Minor Case Beam, whose rye‑whiskey tradition pre‑Prohibition inspired this release.
This whiskey is aged at least two years in new charred American oak barrels, then finished for about six months in imported sherry casks—giving a creative twist to the rye whiskey format. It is bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) in the 750 mL format.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Medium amber colour with a slight reddish‑tint from the sherry‑cask finish.

  • Nose: Rye spice and pepper alongside dried fruit (fig, dark cherry), vanilla, subtle tobacco leaf and a faint sherry‑sweetness.

  • Palate: Bold rye grain character up front, with warm spice and pepper. Mid‑palate reveals caramel, toasted oak, stone‑fruit notes (plum/apricot) and a hint of chocolate or dried fruit from the sherry finishing.

  • Finish: Smooth and lingering—dried fruit echo, gentle oak tannin, a final whisper of rye pepper and sherry sweetness.
