Meikle Tòir is the peated single malt range from The GlenAllachie Distillery, crafted under the guidance of Master Distiller Billy Walker. These special single cask expressions are part of the brand’s first ever single cask releases — originally launched in mid-2025 — and are bottlings that showcase the raw power and character of the whisky straight from the cask (natural cask strength, non-chill filtered, natural colour).

This particular release (#11576) is the Oloroso Sherry-matured variant, distinguished from its sister PX release by the type of sherry cask used. 

Nose (Aroma)

While formal tasting notes from the distillery for this exact cask are limited, similar Meikle Tòir Oloroso Sherry cask expressions in this series are described (for the 2019 Oloroso) with aromas such as:

• Soft tobacco and figs

• Baked orange zest

• Mocha and dried fruit sweetness 

Given the same maturation style, this bottle likely shares allied aromatic qualities — rich dried fruits, citrus highlights & a smoky backbone.

Palate (Taste)

Expect a bold, full-flavored palate typical of both high-strength single cask whisky and Oloroso sherry maturation:
