High n’ Wicked Warlander Blended Straight Whiskey – Benchetler No. 3 is a bold, limited-edition release from Altamar Brands, crafted in collaboration with artist and pro skier Chris Benchetler. This unique expression blends three- and four-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye and Bourbon whiskeys, combining the fruit-forward and baking spice notes of rye with the depth and spice of high-rye bourbon. 

After blending, the whiskey was rebarreled in a combination of its own ex-bourbon and ex-rye casks and allowed to rest for just over two months to encourage deeper integration of flavor. 

Tasting Notes

Nose:
Bright citrus aromas of grapefruit and lemon zest evolve into caramelized orange and a hint of salted caramel. Potent baking spices—layers of cinnamon and allspice—are complemented by subtle notes of green apple, grilled peaches, and fresh dill. A very subtle black cherry emerges on the back.

Palate:
Bold and expressive, with a full palate experience. Flavors of caramel and lush savory notes lead to dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, cherries, and blackberries. Black pepper and allspice provide a spicy finish.
