Glenmorangie Lasanta 15 Year is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that has been re-imagined with an extended 15-year maturation. 

This expression matures in a carefully selected combination of American bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a warm and richly layered profile. 

According to Glenmorangie’s master distillers, the extra ageing and refined cask recipe bring enhanced complexity, balancing “rich spice and luscious sweetness” to evoke “an endless horizon of tastes and aromas.” 

Tasting Notes

Nose (Aroma):

• Rich, aromatic, and deeply spicy with prominent notes of mead, honeycomb, and walnut. 

• A hint of charcoal underlies the sweetness. 

• With a splash of water, floral and fruity top notes open up: carnation, flowering currants, chocolate-coated raisins, freshly baked bread, and toffee. 

Palate (Taste):

• A lively, almost sizzling spicy mouthfeel leads in. 

• Flavours develop into rich waves of toffee-drenched Brazil nuts, molasses, and cinnamon, with hints of clove and charcoal. 

• In the background: leather, oak tannins, and dark chocolate provide depth. 

Finish:

• Long and lingering. 

• Notes of Seville orange marmalade, sweet dates, and treacle (dark syrup-like sweetness) remain.
