Glen Scotia Double Cask 46% Whisky 750ml Bourbon Barrels & Finished in Demerara Rum Casks Campbeltown

Double the cask, double the flavour is the theory here, but this process also has historical precedence. Glen Scotia has records that go as far back as 1815, before the distillery was founded, that show casks of rum present and for sale in the town.

A sweet, tropical Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia that was initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Guyanese demerara rum casks. Aromas of pineapple, mango, sea spray and burnt sugar fill the nose, complemented by notes of molasses, cooked sugar, coconut, banana, peach, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and sea salt throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
