The George Remus Repeal Reserve Series IX is the latest installment in the brand’s limited annual heritage line, celebrating the legacy of bourbon and the repeal of Prohibition. This edition is bottled at 104 proof (52% ABV) and features a blend of bourbons aged between 10 and 18 years sourced from multiple mash bills. 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich aromas of seasoned oak, leather and tobacco leaf, combined with notes of sweet ripe cherry, roasted coffee and a warm wood spice. 
Palate: Medium‑ to full‑bodied and smooth. Flavours include caramel, butterscotch, walnut, dark chocolate or fudge, stone fruit (plum/pear) and baking spices (clove, cinnamon). A subtle rye spice and oak tannin provide backbone. 
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering toasted oak, leather, dark cherry or dried cherry fruit, a hint of coffee or espresso, and a light savoury note of tobacco and dry wood.
