Fernet Branca Liqueur 180th Anniversary Limited Edition 750 mL
-

-
Packaging is special: the bottle features a striking, enlarged version of the iconic eagle logo, set against a surrealist depiction of the Fratelli Branca distillery in Milan.
-
It is made with 27 herbs, flowers, spices, and roots sourced from four continents — same as the regular Fernet-Branca formula.
-
ABV is 39% (78 proof) as with the standard Fernet-Branca.
-
Price (SRP) in the U.S : about USD $39.99. Limited release — 49,000 bottles. Available at select retailers.
Tasting Notes
-
Appearance: Deep brown with tawny-amber hues. Slightly viscous.
-
Nose: Strong herbal and bitter character immediately present. Notes of mint (fresh and slightly medicinal), menthol and eucalyptus. Root-y aromas (gentian, rhubarb), dark herbs, camomile, and citrus zest show through. A faint touch of licorice and bitter chocolate.
-
Palate: Intensely bitter, layered with herbal complexity. Mint and fresh cooling herbs dominate early — followed by earthy roots, bitter orange peel, gentian and rhubarb. Slight warmth from spices, maybe a hint of saffron or wood/tea bark. The texture is bold and somewhat sharp.
-
Finish: Long and persistent — bitter herbal tones linger, with cooling menthol / mint fading slowly. The aftertaste leans dry, with citrus peel and root bitterness lingering in the throat.
