Bruichladdich Laddie Rye 7 Year 100 Proof 750ml

Bruichladdich LADDIE RYE 7 Year 100 Proof 750mL

  • This is an Islay single grain Scotch whisky made from a mash bill of ~55% Islay-grown rye and ~45% Islay malted barley.

  • Aged for 7 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and virgin American oak casks that were toasted (not charred).

  • Bottled at 50% ABV / 100 proof, with no chill-filtration and no added color.

Tasting Notes

Nose (Aroma):

  • Spicy and peppery: ground ginger and cracked black pepper.

  • Warm baking spices: clove, cinnamon, nutmeg.

  • Herbal undertones, with a hint of floral character.

Palate (Taste):

  • Bold rye spice, especially peppery heat from the Islay-grown rye.

  • Balanced by smooth honey and vanilla notes from the American oak.

  • Slight oak creaminess and mellow grain influence.

Finish:

  • Warming spice lingers, but finishes with Bruichladdich’s characteristic citrus note (a touch of brightness).

  • Toasted oak in the background, offering a mellow but clear finish.
